Ingredients:

  • 2 cups hot milk (do not boil)
  • 2 ounces butter (1/2 cube)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 cups cubed white bread
  • 5 beaten eggs
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla
  • Cinnamon to taste

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  • Put cubed bread into 8 inch X 11 inch baking dishand sprinkle with cinnamon (to taste)
  • Heat milk and butter in a sauce pan or in a microwave oven
  • Add sugar and vanilla and stir to dissolve thesugar
  • Add slowly to the beaten aggs while stirring
  • Pour over the bread
  • Push all bread under the milk
  • Bake until a knife inserted comes out clean andpudding puffs up
  • Cool
